The electrons that were lost from Photosystem II are replaced by electrons that are lost from water.

When a water molecule splits, it loses electrons.

Oxygen molecules are released and the Hydrogen molecules are used in the next step: the production of NADPH2 .

In the end, both of the Photosystem's Reaction Centers return to their normal energy level and the process begins again.
